KCOE Foster & Homeless Youth Services Website

Lemoore Union High School District is dedicated to serving students identified as foster youth and experiencing homelessness (McKinney-Vento).  LUHSD utilizes a mentorship program, Working Into Notable & Gifted Students (WINGS),  to support students academics, behavior, socioemotional, and address other identified barriers. In addition, the program seeks to educate students about their rights regarding education. The WINGS Program seeks to ensure a successful educational experience for WINGS students by collaborating with parents, schools, Kings County Office of Education and the community through opening the doors to educational opportunities, removing barriers and promoting a healthy sense of self.  Please contact the District Liaison, Blanca Vargas at (559) 924-6600 ext. 2545 if you have any questions.
