Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum

All LUHSD students deserve access to a carefully-planned and challenging education that prepares them for college and/or career goals. To achieve this, LUHSD schools function as Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) where collaborative teacher teams meet regularly to create, plan, and deliver a guaranteed and viable curriculum.
 
A guaranteed and viable curriculum is a combination of learning targets, common assessments, and plans for intervention. While differences among LUHSD schools mean PLC work looks very different at each site, teachers at each school are working very hard to design and maintain the following components of a Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum:
  • Guaranteed Standards
  • Learning targets for each guaranteed standard
  • Common assessments at the target level and the standard level
  • Pacing guides
  • Procedures for gathering and discussing student data
  • Plans for intervention
 
 

Assessment Information

Lemoore Union High School District,  actively participate in the California State Assessments, a crucial tool that helps us gauge the effectiveness of our teaching methods, identify areas of improvement, and celebrate the achievements of our talented students.

 

 What are California State Assessments? 

The California State Assessments are comprehensive tests designed to measure student proficiency in key subjects such as English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. These assessments provide valuable insights into individual and collective academic strengths, allowing us to tailor our teaching strategies to better meet the diverse needs of our students.
