The mission of Saturday School is to provide an opportunity to clear absences for those students that have excessive tardies or absences and may have exceeded the school’s 90 percent attendance rule. Excessive means that the students have accumulated more than 126 single period absences. Students who haven’t reached the threshold of 126 missed periods are also eligible to clear some absences.
Lemoore High School wants to give those students that are habitually tardy or have unverified absences, an opportunity to clear absences that may prevent them from participating in commencement exercises.
Saturday School will be offered every Saturday in the Library except on holiday weekends (Labor Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Winter Break, Sprink Break etc.). Saturday School check-in will begin at 7:50 AM and will be over at 12:10 PM. Doors will be locked at 8:00 AM with no students being accepted past this time. You do not have to have an appointment or be ordered to attend. It is strictly voluntary.
